I want the first one and here’s why:
1) AWD. I’m just not into FWD performance. Sorry Honda.
2) I think it looks amazingly bonkers in all the right ways. The R just looks like a a bunch of ricer stuff from tacked on an already ugly Civic.

I second both your first and second points

If that would be the case, would that mean that South Korea would be the Italy of Asia?

Haven’t been on in a few days. What is that top one?

Honda knows what it is doing. The Hyundai looks like an ugly life-size Hot Wheels car.

‘twas a punctuation joke, but actually, that’s probably truer than you would expect.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who feels that way, especially about number 2.
I really want to like the new Civic R’s, because I want Honda to keep making performance cars. But I just find the new Civic ugly, especially in dark colors.

I think the hyundai looks better, but the honda certainly looks like it could actually be a car, and not just a fantasy

One-off, Hyundai race car concept with zero support, or a Honda “concept” with full dealer support, which can terrorize the streets or any race track and is already breaking speed records? Tough choice...

I know right! :P

Hyundai looks spectacular. Looks like a pissed off Audi DTM racecar. Type-R has been a wet dream of mine for a while - I had a 2003 Civic Si and almost decided to spend thousands on a JDM Type-R body kit.
Tough decision. I am older and wiser these days, so I’d still go with the original H

Type-R.

Hyundai, based on that one video of the prototype exhaust that fizzed and popped like a 60s Alfa.

Burn the R. I very strongly dislike Hondas. Always have. I tried looking them once, I really did. They just don’t do it for me, design, ergo, driving, anything at all.

I’ll take the Hyundai solely on the basis that it’s not buttfuck ugly.
